Ozone Pilot StudiesPilot Studies and Oxidant Demand Testing
Piper provides ozone rental systems, technical assistance, monitoring devices and laboratory
support for field pilot studies, bench studies, and demonstration projects involving ozone gas.
For new remediation and water treatment projects, Piper strongly recommends that you perform a field pilot study before you design and install a full-scale ozone system. A pilot study will allow you learn about the site, applicaiton, gas injection parameters, and potential in-situ gas distribution – all of which is important to design a safe and effective ozone injection system.
Piper can provide your company with the tools, know-how and equipment to perfrom field pilot studies using ozone gas injection.
Ozone Bench Studies and Laboratory Analysis
For unique ozone applications and demonstration projects, you may desire to perform ozone bench studies or specialty laboratory analyses for treatability studies. These studies can provide valuable information when formulating ozone dosage, predicting site remediation duration and designing an ozone injection system.
Piper recommends that you consider having Natural Oxidant Demand (NOD) analysis performed on soil and groundwater samples from your site. NOD results will allow you to determine the total oxidant demand of the soil/water and contaminant matrix.
Please contact us to discuss your ozone pilot study, bench study or oxidant laboratory analysis needs.
